Letitia M. (Crafts) Marin was born 1861. DOD 4/06/1952, San Francisco, CA Her parents were Amassa and Mary Jane (Henry) Crafts of Massachusetts. 

Lettie married Frank Marin in 1920, who preceded her in death in 1951. She was the Assistant Librarian for University of Minnesota for 27 years. Resigned effective January 1, 1911.

Graduate of University of Minnesota in 1881; earliest living graduate and oldest retired employee upon her death in 1952. Bachelor of Literature; Phi Beta Kappa. Her brother was Leo Melville Crafts, a well-known physician
They were a well-known Minnesota pioneer family.  

UPDATED INFO: Anna Durkee was living in Letitia's house in 1900 and then Letitia and Anna were sharing a flat for a few years with Julia Durkee.  Did Lettie move to California because the corporation was operating out of San Francisco?  Minnie Towler and her family

also moved to California and Anna Durkee and Mary Elmer were also found in California.  The envelope the garnet came inside of on the Mining Claims page shows a San Francisco address for the corporation.   

Update 3/2005: It has been discovered that Lettie had an older brother, Robert Henry Crafts.  It may also be that she had an older sister per the 1860 US Census. There is no mention of her in the 1870 US Census.

Update May 2005:  There was another child in the household prior to Lettie's birth. All that the 1860 US Census shows is "H" age 4, Female.  No information is known about this child or what happened to her.
